MARG is a laboratory of the Department of Intelligence and Information, Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology, Seoul National University, Republic of Korea.
➔ Our graduate school has degree courses of Master's program, Combined Master’s/Doctoral Program, and Doctoral program.
➔ Prof. Kyogu Lee is our principal investigator. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1996, the M.M. degree in Music Technology from New York University, New York, in 2002, and the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Computer-based Music Theory and Acoustics from Stanford University

➔ Currently, our research group is made up of 17 master's students, 11 Ph.D. students, and 14 Ph.D. candidates. (Total 42 students)
➔ Researchers in MARG deal with their own MIR problems in different areas such as deep learning, signal processing, and cognitive scientific method like EEG. Note that our research area is not only bounded to MIR but also includes speech and general audio as well.
➔ Currently, we are carrying out various projects with government organizations and industries such as Samsung, Hyundai, and etc.

➔ In or out of the laboratory, we are all music lovers. A homecoming concert🎉 is one of our favorite events at the end of the year. We look at sheet music🎼 instead of paper📰, and we play on the keyboard🎹 instead of the keyboard⌨️.
